LONDON: A pilot has been suspended for violating anti-terrorism laws by leaving the cockpit door open throughout the flight. A British Airways pilot has been suspended. The incident took place on a flight from Heathrow, UK, to New York. The pilot's parents were also passengers on the plane. He reportedly left the cockpit open so that his parents could see him controlling the plane. Footage of the pilot flying the plane with the cockpit open is widely shared on social media.

Meanwhile, the pilot explained that the cockpit door was left open unexpectedly. The pilot himself shared a video on Instagram explaining the incident. After the 9/11 attacks, it was made stricter to lock cockpit doors during flights to reduce the risk of terrorism and hijacking. The pilot was suspended for violating this rule.
