Fire accident: Kuwait government to pay compensation of Rs 12.50 lakhs

KUWAIT CITY: The Kuwait government will pay a compensation of $15,000 (Rs 12,50,000) each to the families of those who died in the fire accident at the flat of NBTC company. The money will be handed over to the respective country's embassies. 49 people, including 45 Indians, died in the fire that broke out in the apartment building in Kuwait's Mangaf on June 12. There were 195 people inside the building. 24 of the dead were Malayalees.
