Hamas releases footage of cruelty; Israeli youth digs grave to bury his own body

GAZA CITY: Hamas has released a video showing a man kidnapped and held hostage during a music concert on October 7, 2023, digging his own grave. Hamas has released footage of 24-year-old Evyatar David. "I'm going to my grave. This is the grave where I think I'm going to be buried. I haven't eaten for days. I can barely even get drinking water." The man says in Hebrew.

David's family said the video of their son being starved to death for Hamas propaganda was the most horrific act the world has ever seen. The family's response on Saturday came a day after Hamas released a video showing skeletal David in a narrow tunnel.

The hostage's parents appealed to the Israeli government and the international community to do everything possible to save Evyatar. After the footage was released, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met with Evyatar David's family. He told the family that efforts to free the prisoners were continuing.

Hamas has released footage of another hostage. The video shows Rom Braslavski, a man with Israeli-German citizenship, pleading with the government to help secure his release. Arab news agency AFP and Israeli media have confirmed that Braslavski is a Jerusalemite who was working as a security guard when Hamas attacked in October.

Hamas took 251 people hostage during the attack on Israel nearly two years ago. David is one of 49 still being held in Gaza, including 27 hostages who are believed to be dead.
