ISLAMABAD: At least 10 people were killed and many injured after a powerful explosion hit Quetta in Pakistan. The bomb exploded near an army headquarters in Pakistan. The explosion occurred near the FC (Frontier Constabulary) headquarters on Zarghun Road in Quetta. The footage of the incident has been released.
The video that has emerged shows a car packed with explosives approaching the area and exploding. The injured have been admitted to nearby hospitals. Five people died on the spot and the rest in the hospital. Reports are that the sound of the explosion was heard kilometers away. A state of emergency has been declared in hospitals in the city. An investigation has been launched into the explosion.
Health Minister Bakhat Kakkar responded that the death toll is likely to rise. Quetta is the capital of Balochistan province. Terrorist attacks occur frequently here. On September 3, a suicide attack took place during a rally in Quetta. Eleven people were killed and more than forty were injured.
