26-year-old youth stabbed to death with scissors in Pala over gambling dispute

KOTTAYAM: A youth met with a tragic end amidst an argument during a game of gambling. The dead is Libin Jose (26) of Kollappally Mankara in Pala. The incident happened Sunday morning at 1 am. The incident happened when the youth and his friends came to attend the first mass of his relative's baby in Pala.

The whole night they were gambling and drinking. Libin and his friends got into an argument with a native of Pala. In the end, a youth identified as Abhilash stabbed Libin to death with a scissor. Three including a woman sustained injuries in the attack. Abhilash also was injured and is undergoing treatment in the hospital. The police have started an investigation into the incident.

Meantime, an auto driver was murdered in an attack in Kozhikode. The dead is Srikanth (47), a native of Gandhinagar. The incident happened on Panicker’s Road Sunday morning. The police clarified that Srikanth was an accused in a murder case registered at the Elathur station.
