BLF claims to have send woman suicide bomber to Pak Centre

ISLAMABAD: The Baloch Liberation Front (BLF) claimed that a woman was used to carry out a suicide attack on the Frontier Corps' (FC) base in Chagai, Balochistan, which is home to China's copper and gold mining project.

Reports say six Pakistan officials were killed in the attack that happened on Sunday evening. The Pakistan authorities have not made any official confirmation over it. The BLF has released the photo and name of the suicide bomber. She has been identified as Zareena Rafik alias Trang Mahoo. This is the first time BLF has used a woman as a suicide bomber.


Chinese and Canadian companies function here. Saindak and Reko Diq projects, are managed here. BLF spokesperson Gwahram Baloch said the Fidayeen operation was carried out by his self-sacrifice unit ‘Saddo Operational Battalion’ (SOB).

Meantime, the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) claimed that in the 29 attacks carried out at various places on November 28 and 29, 27 Pak army personnel were killed. BLA said they have seized the weapons. In a statement released, the BLA said that a grenade attack was carried out on the Pakistan Army's Coast Guard camp in the Pasni area of Gwadar and cash was stolen from vehicles.
