PALAKKAD: Former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag visited a temple in Palakkad and he was found in traditional attire. He wore a mundu and had a kumkum on his forehead. Sehwag had come to visit the Pulikkal Vishwanaga Yakshikkavu at Kavilpad in Palakkad. One of the cricketer’s friends in Palakkad accompanied him.

Sehwag, who had attended a village festival at the Isha Yoga Center in Coimbatore the other day, reached Palakkad around 11.30 am yesterday. Sehwag said that he had never been to Kerala except for matches and that the views here were very beautiful and the visit was a great experience. Sehwag had come to Kochi for the ODI matches against Pakistan in 2005 and England in 2006.

Meantime, Sehwag did not respond to the media's questions about cricket. He wished everyone who came near him. He also posed for a photo.

A special pooja was held for the Indian player at the temple. After surrounding the temple, he received prasadam from Manavendra Varma Yogathiripad. He left Palakkad after a sumptuous sadya with payasam at 4 pm. He shared pictures of the temple visit on social media.
