TEHRAN: Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has claimed that it carried out a missile attack on the US aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln. Iran said that the attack was launched using four ballistic missiles following the killing of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. The IRGC warned that both land and sea would become a "graveyard" for terrorists.

However, the United States has rejected Iran's claims that ballistic missiles had struck the aircraft carrier. The US military said the missiles did not even come closer to the warship. Meanwhile, the United States Central Command said in a post on X that at the start of “Operation Fury” against Iran, US forces attacked the Iranian Jamaran-class corvette. The command stated that the vessel is currently sinking off the coast of Chabahar in the Gulf of Oman. It also called on Iranian forces to lay down their weapons and surrender.

Earlier, the Iranian Consulate in Hyderabad claimed in a post on X that a drone attack had been carried out on a ship transporting weapons for US warships anchored at Jebel Ali. The post alleged that the vessel was completely destroyed in the attack. Iran also claimed that it launched four ballistic missiles and 12 drones at a US military base in the Abdullah Mubarak area of Kuwait. According to the claim, all infrastructure at the base was destroyed and several US soldiers were killed or injured.
