TEL AVIV: 33 people including children have been killed in Israeli attack on Gaza. Israel launched the attack on Gaza on the grounds that Hamas violated the ceasefire agreement that came into effect on October 10 under US mediation.
Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz accused Israel of attacking Israeli soldiers in Gaza and violating the terms of returning bodies. Following this, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu ordered a strong attack. However, Hamas claims that they had nothing to do with the attack and that they are committed to the ceasefire agreement.
Israeli officials clarified that they carried out the attack after informing the US. US President Donald Trump also responded later. Trump said that they retaliated because Israeli soldiers were killed and that they should retaliate. Trump added that the attack would not jeopardize the ceasefire.
The airstrikes were allegedly carried out against Israeli soldiers, including in the Rafah area of southern Gaza. The new events are weighing on the future of the Gaza peace plan that was accepted and implemented by Hamas and Israel under the mediation of the US. Hamas is to release the remains of 13 hostages. On October 19, Israel killed 45 people in Gaza, accusing Hamas of violating the agreement. Later, Trump intervened and calmed the situation.
