
LONDON: Several passengers were injured in a mass stabbing on a train in Cambridgeshire, Britain. The attack took place on a train from Doncaster to London Kings Cross Saturday evening. British Transport Police have arrested two suspects in the incident. Police have not released their details. The train was stopped at Huntingdon station after the attack. All the injured have been taken to hospital. The suspects with the knife were arrested and removed by police after the train stopped.
A passenger at Huntingdon station told media that several passengers bleeding got off the train after it stopped. Nine of the injured are said to be in a serious condition. The other passengers on the train were taken to their destinations by buses. London North Eastern Railway said that train services on the East Coast Main Line were disrupted following the incident. Meanwhile, the cause of the attack is not yet clear.
British Prime Minister Keir Starmer responded that the incident was worrying. He also urged the public to follow the instructions of local authorities.
