THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Two 'Malayali' planes soared over the Turkish airspace at the same time on Sunday. This rare moment happened at 11.30 am local time in Turkey on Sunday. The 'Gulfstream G600 T7-Ravi', the private jet of Malayali industrialist Ravi Pillai and the 'Gulfstream G500 M-Enon' owned by P.N.C. Menon created a curious history to remember.

The flights coming in opposite directions passed through the Turkish airspace at an altitude of more than 40,000 feet above sea level. The T-7 Ravi aircraft took off for Delhi from Munich, Germany at 7.44 am. The M-Enon aircraft took off for Farnborough, England at 9.19 am from Dubai. The T-7 Ravi aircraft was travelling at a speed of over 900 kmph at an altitude of 48,325 feet. The M- Enon aircraft was travelling at a speed of 866 kmph at an altitude of 43,000 feet.
