Reality of "rescue" promised by Trump; chilling aerial view of mass graves; shocking images released

TEHRAN: As the US-Iran conflict enters its fourth day, more than 100 children have been killed in an airstrike in Iran. On the first day alone, about 160 children lost their lives in the attack carried out by the US-Israeli coalition. Thousands of people joined the mourning procession for the slain students.

The attack on the Shajareh Tayyebeh girls' elementary school in Minab, southern Iran, took place on Saturday. The bombing occurred during the day when children were at school. Iranian Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi shared a picture of the destroyed school and the preparation of mass graves on social media. The Foreign Minister responded in harsh language against US President Donald Trump and Israel.

'The destroyed building is a primary school for girls in the south of Iran. It was bombed in broad daylight, when packed with young pupils. Dozens of innocent children have been murdered at this site alone. These crimes against the Iranian People will not go unanswered.'- Araghchi said.

Meanwhile, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio clarified that the US would not deliberately target any school. He also announced that the Department of Defense would investigate the incident. According to international law, attacking educational institutions or hospitals is a war crime. Iran is currently in a state of retaliation against the US and Israel. At least 787 people were killed in the joint attack by the US and Israel in Nablus.

Senior members of Iran's military and political leadership, including members of the family of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, were also killed in the attack. The US and Israel are conducting airstrikes to target and destroy Iran's governing institutions.
