Luck favours Malayali yet again; Four Indians become millionaires in Abu Dhabi Big Ticket
ABU DHABI: Four Indians, including a Malayali, emerged as lucky winners in the Big Ticket draw. The four will share a total prize money of one lakh dirhams (Rs. 25,93,023) in the last weekly e-draw in May. Big Ticket is preparing many prizes, including a bumper prize of 25 million dirhams in June.
The Malayali who won the prize is Anas Vazhayil (37), who has been working as a salesman in Bahrain for five years. He had been buying tickets with ten friends for the last three years. Anas said that he will now share the prize money with his friends and promised that he would continue to buy tickets together.
Another lucky Indian is Jayaganesh Mohan, a Chennai native who works as a control room operator at Emirates Global Aluminium. He has been living in Dubai for the past 10 years and bought a ticket with 11 colleagues. The ticket with the number 11, which indicates the number of people in the group, brought them luck.
The third lucky winner is Tejal Patni, a 56-year-old film director and Mumbai native. He has been living in Dubai with his family for the past 49 years. This is the first time he has won a prize on the Big Ticket. He got lucky with the number 13, chosen by Tejal's 13-year-old daughter.
The fourth lucky winner is Thirusenthilkumar Pandian, a software engineer from Bengaluru. He had previously been in Dubai for four years and had been trying his luck by buying tickets on his own for the past six years.
