‘King is back’; Mammootty to resume shoot, producer shares happy news

KOCHI: Actor Mammootty, who has been away due to health issues, is returning to the sets after a seven-month long break. Producer Anto Joseph shared the news that brings happiness to movie lovers on Facebook. Mammootty will face the camera from October 1. The shooting will be at Ramoji Rao Film City in Hyderabad.

'Mammootty has been in a very unexpected break for so long. He survived on the prayers and presence of mind of people all over the world. Heartfelt gratitude and love to those who joined in the prayers and stood with him when he was in trouble', penned Anto Joseph.

Many have shared their happiness under Anto's Facebook post. 'Where can he go without returning? There are still roles left to play on screen', 'King is back', 'Thanks to God', etc. are among the comments from fans.

Mammootty was confirmed with the disease while shooting for 'Patriot' directed by Mahesh Narayanan. The shooting in Hyderabad will be from October 1 to 15. After that, the shooting will be in London and will return to Kochi then. Mammootty will act with Mohanlal then. Kunchacko Boban and Fahadh Faasil will also share screen space with Mammootty and Mohanlal.
