Director Jeethu Joseph says that people should not come with high expectations to watch the third part of Drishyam. He said that Drishyam was not made as a thriller film. Jeethu Joseph added that he did not expect this when he made the first part of Drishyam. He said that people including actor Asif Ali had asked about the climax of the third part. Jeethu Joseph shared these in an interview granted to a YouTube channel.

"I was not thinking of doing the second and third parts of Drishyam. After the first part was over, some people asked if there was any possibility of a second part. That is how the second part of Drishyam happened. The same important people who were in the first part acted in the following parts as well. They all came very happily. The project would have been dropped if any of the main characters withdrew for any reason."

But that's not the case now. I'm not doing this film for money. There was a situation in Bollywood where the heroine withdrew from the second part of Kalki because of remuneration issues. The third part includes what is likely to happen in the life of the main character George Kutty in these four years. It's not like others are saying, that it should best the second part. Don't come to watch the film with excessive expectations. Even the producer doesn't know about the climax of the film. That's something special," said Jeethu Joseph.
