
GOA: The Vietnamese film 'Skin of Youth' directed by Ash Mayfair has bagged the Golden Peacock Award for Best Film at the 56th International Film Festival of Goa. Santosh Davakhar won the Silver Peacock Award for Best Director for his Marathi film 'Gondhal'.
Skin of Youth director Ash Mayfair and producer Fran Borgia received the Golden Peacock trophy, certificate and a cash award of Rs. 40,00,000 from Goa Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant at the closing ceremony held at the Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Indoor Stadium in Goa.
Union Minister of State for Information & Broadcasting; and Parliamentary Affairs Dr. L. Murugan was also present. Superstar Rajinikanth, who completed 50 years in the film industry, was felicitated at the event.
