KOCHI: Producer Sandra Thomas said that actor Mammootty's intervention was not related to the nomination papers. "Mammootty called me in connection with my complaint regarding the insult to femininity. He called me on the instructions of someone else on behalf of Anto Joseph. Mammootty was convinced that my femininity had been insulted," Sandra said.

Sandra Thomas clarified that Mammootty ended the phone conversation by saying, "Do everything as Sandra wishes", and that she has no complaints about Mammootty's interference. She added that Mammootty's withdrawal from her film was his choice.

"Listin is trying to drag Mammootty into this. I came wearing a burqa as a protest. Does that mean I should wear a burqa daily? What Listin is saying is ridiculous. He does not deserve a reply. If anything I said against Listin Stephen is proven to be a lie, I am ready to leave the film industry. On the other hand, if the things I am raising are proven, will Listin be ready to leave the industry? I am eligible to contest the elections. Listin, who is the treasurer of the association, made such statements because he has no idea about the bylaws of this," said Sandra Thomas.

"She came wearing a burqa first... she didn't get a burqa when she came the second time? Sandra Thomas is just creating a scene," Listin had remarked. Sandra's response was in reply to this.
