BENGALURU: A complaint has been filed against Ajay Devgn, Sidharth Malhotra and director Indra Kumar for allegedly hurting religious sentiments. Hindu Janajagruti Samithi in Karnataka has raised protest against Ajay Devgn starrer 'Thank God' alleging that the film is insulting Chitragupta, their idol. The trailer of the film was released on September 9.
Ajay Devgn is playing the role of Chitragupta in the movie. In the trailer, Chitragupta and Lord Yama were seen in modern costumes. 'Actors were seen mocking Hindu gods in the trailer. We will never tolerate mockery of Chitragupta and Lord Yama of Hinduism in the name of freedom of expression. Was the censor board sleeping until this trailer was released? The group demands the Censor Board not to give a certificate to the film. The State and Central Home Ministries should ban the film as it has hurt religious sentiments otherwise we will protest on streets', said Hindu Janajagruti Samithi national spokesperson Ramesh Shinde.
