'Tried to brainwash me saying that all big actresses have done that'; actress reveals ordeal

MUMBAI: Renowned television actress Asha Negi has revealed that she had faced casting couch experiences early in her career. Asha, known for her role in the hit Hindi series "Pavitra Rishta," shared her struggles in an interview with a media outlet.

"I had met a coordinator during the initial stages of my career. I was 20 years old then. He tried to brainwash me, saying that this is how things normally work and that if I didn't compromise, I wouldn't be able to grow in my career. He told me that all the big stars have done this. Although he didn't say it directly, I understood his intention. I said I am not interested if things are like this," Asha said in the interview.

Asha Negi revealed that despite facing the experience bravely, she was terrified inside. She shared that when she confided in her friend about the incident, the response was shocking.

"My friend's reaction was, 'This is how things work, it's normal,'" she said.
