'We had a fight, and I blocked Devika's number'; Vijay Madhav shares heartfelt note

Singer Vijay Madhav and actress Devika Nambiar are one of the most loved celebrity couples among Malayalis. A post shared by Vijay on his Instagram page on their engagement anniversary is now going viral on social media.

Sharing a throwback photo taken during his sister’s wedding, Vijay recalled how fate brought him and Devika back together after they had parted ways before marriage.

'This picture was clicked on May 5, 2016, at 1.42 pm during my sister’s wedding. At that time, Devika and I had a fight, and I had even blocked her number, convinced the relationship was over. While I was at home watching TV, my sister Nandu sent me this photo and urged me not to be stubborn. She said we were the best pair and I wouldn’t find anyone better. Her words made me rethink, and that’s how we reunited,' Vijay wrote.

Reflecting on their journey, he added that looking back at life’s twists and turns makes it feel as though everything was predestined. Vijay concluded his heartfelt post with, “Happy Engagement Anniversary to us.”
