KOCHI: The Kerala High Court has questioned the Censor Board in the case related to the release of Suresh Gopi's film JSK. The High Court asked the Censor Board what is wrong with the name Janaki. 'There have been films with similar names in the past. Why is there a problem now when there was no problem back then?' the court asked. The High Court was considering the case in which the Censor Board and the Revising Committee denied permission to JSK.

The Censor Board argued that the name of the film was against the guidelines and that children under the age of 16 were prohibited from watching it. The court then ordered the production of a copy of the Censor Board's decision on Monday. The High Court will consider the petition again on Monday.

Director Praveen Narayanan had yesterday stated that the censor board had informed that the film would not be released without changing the name. The director informed through Facebook that the revising committee had also asked to change the 'Janaki' in the name of the film and the character.

Meanwhile, FEFKA has also come out with a response to the controversies. General Secretary B Unnikrishnan told the media that the producers of the film are very worried. He added that it would not be surprising if they succumb to pressure and change the name.
