Cricketer Suresh Raina to make his acting debut in Tamil film

CHENNAI: Former Indian cricketer and Chennai Super Kings fans Suresh Raina is set to make his acting debut with a Tamil film based on cricket, directed by Logan.
The name of the film or details of the other casts has not been revealed. The film has been temporarily titled ‘Production Number One’. The film is being produced by Saravana Kumar under the banner of the production house Dream Knight Stories. The official launch of the film was held in Chennai last Friday.

This film is the first production of Dream Knight Productions. Sandeep K Vijayan wields camera for the film. T Muthuraj is the production designer, stunt choreographer is Supreme Sundar. Oscar winner Resul Pookutty is the sound designer. The music for the film is composed by Santhosh Narayanan.

Suresh Raina has been a part of Indian cricket for 15 years. He made his ODI debut in 2005, T20 debut in 2006 and Test cricket in 2010. He was a part of the Indian team that won the 2011 ODI World Cup. Suresh Raina announced his retirement along with teammate Mahendra Singh Dhoni on August 15 in 2020.
