Drug allegations have been circling the Malayalam film industry for quite some time now. Recently, a woman was arrested in Alappuzha with hybrid cannabis, and during interrogation, she reportedly revealed the names of two actors. This has once again sparked discussions about drug use within the film industry.
Actress Vincy Aloshious has now publicly declared that she will no longer act in films with individuals who use drugs. She acknowledged that this decision might cost her opportunities in the future but affirmed that she is willing to stand by it. She made this statement while speaking at the inauguration of the 67th operational year of KCYM Ernakulam-Angamaly Major Archdiocese, held at Pallippuram Church.
“I came here for the inauguration of KCYM Angamaly Major Archdiocese’s operational year, which also focuses on an anti-drug campaign as one of its core objectives. I want to say something openly in front of you all. Maybe because of this decision, I might not get many opportunities in films going forward. Still, I want to say it: if I am aware that someone is using drugs, I will not act in any film with them,” Vincy said.
