NEW DELHI: Opposition leader Rahul Gandhi sharply criticized the government for the India-US deal, in the Lok Sabha. The government should be ashamed for selling Bharat Mata. Rahul also asked why India's agricultural sector is being completely opened to the US.

'I am saying that you have sold India. Are you not ashamed of selling India? Do you have no shame in selling India. You have sold our mother, Bharat Mata. The interesting thing is that I know that the Prime Minister would not sell India under normal circumstances. You know why he sold India? Because they are choking him. They have got a grip on his neck… We can see fear in the eyes of the Prime Minister. There are two things-first Epstein. Three million files are still locked up…’

Rahul also clarified in the house that it is time for the country and individuals to recognize their own strength. Rahul alleged that the country is going through difficult times, but there is nothing in the budget to overcome the challenges. He also pointed that the budget does not mention anything about energy and finance. Meantime, all of Rahul's allegations were removed from the house records.
