
NEW DELHI: A 15-year-old boy and a contractor were detained from Pathankot of Punjab and Ambala respectively for sharing sensitive information to Pakistan. The authorities informed that the two were arrested for sharing sensitive information about Indian army locations to Pakistan handlers. Punjab police said the boy shared sensitive data with ISIS and Pakistan army officials.
The boy detained is Sanjeev Kumar of Pathankot. Pakistani handlers were in touch with the boy on social media. They made the boy mentally weak by making him believe that his father had been killed, said Pathankot SSP (Senior Superintendent of Police) Daljinder Singh Dhillon. He clarified that the boy had fallen into the trap of Pakistani agencies and that there was no evidence of his father being dead.
Police found that Sanjeev had sent videos of several places in India to Pakistani handlers. The boy was also in touch with gangsters running terrorist modules based in Pakistan. The SSP said that the boy had been in touch with terrorist organizations in Pakistan for about a year. He clarified that further action will be taken based on the investigation.
The contractor was arrested from Ambala in Haryana for sharing confidential information to the Pakistan Air Force. Sunil alias Sunny has been a contractor doing maintenance work at the air force station since 2020. The police received information that he was sharing information about the Air Force. The police have seized his mobile phone. It is reported that many suspicious things were found in it. The officer also said that Sunil was in contact with a woman having Pakistani connections. Sunil is married and is father of two children. He is presently remanded for four days. Police said the investigation is in the initial stage.
