'45 Cr sheesh mahal and luxury cars'; Old pal Prashant Bhushan about Kejriwal's fall from grace

NEW DELHI: Aam Aadmi Party co-founder and eminent lawyer Prashant Bhushan made a no-holds-barred attack against AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal following the latter’s trouncing in the Delhi elections. Prashant Bhushan in an X post blamed Kejriwal as the chief culprit responsible for things going south for AAP in Delhi.

PRASANTH BHUSHAN:

“Kejriwal is largely responsible for AAP’s Delhi debacle. A party formed for alternative politics which was supposed to be transparent, accountable & democratic was quickly transformed by Arvind into a supremo-dominated, non-transparent & corrupt party which didn’t pursue a Lokpal & removed its own Lokpal.

He built a 45 Cr sheesh mahal for himself & began travelling in luxury cars.

He binned 33 detailed Policy reports of expert committees set up by AAP, saying that the party will adopt expedient policies when the time comes.

He felt that politics could be done by bluster & propaganda.

This is the beginning of the end of AAP.”

Prashant Bhushan was part of the anti-corruption movement formed by Anna Hazare and had a great bonhomie with Kejriwal. After 2012, Prashant Bhushan and Yogendra Yadav were expelled from AAP for alleged anti-party activities.
