NEW DELHI: The Economic Offenses Unit (EOU) found more information on NEET question papers being leaked for Rs 30 lakhs each in Bihar. During a search in a house in Patna Ramakrishna Nagar, it was found that 68 questions found in the remains of burnt question papers were from the question paper of NEET exam.

An EOU report received by the Education Ministry on Saturday stated that the examination center code of a school was also found from the remains of burnt question papers recovered from the house where the arrested persons lived. These were question papers for Oasis, a private school in Hazaribagh, Jharkhand. The recovered remains will be examined.

Meanwhile, a plea was filed in the Supreme Court seeking an ED probe into the NEET irregularities. The plea argued that the accused have laundered black money. It is reported that the Enforcement Directorate has also started an investigation following the indication that lakhs of black money have been laundered in the leak of the question paper.

The CBI has started investigation after registering FIR in NEET UG examination malpractice. The CBI registered the case on the complaint of the Union Ministry of Education. The Ministry of Education had confirmed that irregularities, cheating, impersonation and malpractice had been reported in the NEET UG conducted on May 5. The Supreme Court had sent a notice to the Central Government and the National Testing Agency (NTA). The petition will be heard on July 8.
