MUMBAI: ‘Kaanta Laga' fame Shefali Jariwala passed away following a heart attack. She was 42. She passed away last night in Mumbai. Her actor husband Parag Tyagi rushed her to Cooper Hospital in Mumbai, but her life could not be saved. Cooper Hospital authorities said the actress was already dead by the time she was brought here and since she was brought from another hospital, the body is being shifted for postmortem. The medical officer said the cause of death will be confirmed only after receiving the postmortem report.
Meanwhile, the Mumbai Police reached her flat in Andheri to investigate the death late at night. Although an inspection was conducted inside the flat, the police have not made any official comments. As the forensic team also inspected the flat, there is speculation from some quarters that there is a mystery surrounding the death. However, no confirmation has been received in this regard.
She became famous after appearing in the song 'Kaanta Laga' released in 2002. She then appeared in Salman Khan's film 'Mujhse Shaadi Karogi'. She also acted in the web series 'Baby Come Na' in 2019. She also participated in popular dance reality shows like 'Boogie Woogie' and 'Nach Baliye'. She married actor Parag Tyagi in 2015.
