CHENNAI: Midair scare yet again loomed on an Air India flight after it made an emergency landing in Chennai on Sunday night. The flight, which departed from Thiruvananthapuram to New Delhi, made an emergency landing at Chennai's Anna International Airport.
The reason for the emergency landing was a malfunction in the radar connection. The plane landed an hour after takeoff. The malfunction occurred on Air India flight 2455. It is reported that five MPs from Kerala were on board.
The MPs responded that a major disaster was averted. The MPs who were on the flight were Adoor Prakash, KC Venugopal, Kodikunnil Suresh and K Radhakrishnan. It is now reported that the flight made its landing without taking permission from the traffic control authority. At the time of the landing, another flight was on the runway.
