HYDERABAD: Bajrang Dal activists downed the shutters of a restaurant for serving beef. The restaurant, Joshiyettan Kerala Thattukada, a famous restaurant in Hyderabad, was closed. Reports said that this is the first time a restaurant in the city has been closed for serving beef.

The incident happened near the Foreign Language University on the Osmania University campus. There were many people in the restaurant when Bajrang Dal activists arrived. They demanded the closure of the thattukada for serving beef.

The students alleged that VHP and Bajrang Dal activists had earlier threatened to close the restaurant if served beef. It is not clear whether the staff or the people who came to have food were attacked by the protesters. It is also not clear whether the restaurant owner has filed a complaint.
