Child narrowly escapes fall from high-rise balcony; video goes viral

GHAZIABAD: A child narrowly escaped a fall from the balcony of a multi-storey apartment in a dramatic incident in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh. The incident took place on January 17, but the visuals surfaced only yesterday.

The child was seen sitting on the outer side of the balcony grill on a higher floor of the apartment. The incident came to light after a neighbour recorded the visuals, which later went viral on social media. In the video, the child can be seen sitting on the crossbar outside the balcony, with legs hanging down, in a position from which a fall could have happened at any moment.

As the family noticed the danger in time, they were able to pull the child back to safety quickly. Later, the family explained that the child is autistic and had stepped outside when their attention was briefly diverted.
