NEW DELHI: A shocking incident unfolded in Gurugram's Central Park Resort, Sector 48, as two Class 11 students allegedly opened fire on a 17-year-old classmate, leaving him critically injured. The victim is currently undergoing treatment at a private hospital.

Police have taken two student suspects into custody. All three students study at Yaduvanshi School in Gurugram. The students used the gun belonging to the main accused’s father to shoot their classmate. Police said the attack happened due to an earlier dispute between the students.

The main accused had called the 17-year-old to the apartment that his father had rented. The victim initially refused to go to the apartment, but his classmates kept calling and insisted he come. The main accused himself brought the 17-year-old from his home to the apartment. As soon as they reached the room, the main accused shot him.

When police reached the spot, they found the 17-year-old with gunshot injuries and immediately shifted him to the hospital. During the search conducted at the apartment, police recovered a gun and around 65 bullets. A forensic team also inspected the scene. A case has been registered, and a detailed investigation is underway. Officials have advised that licensed weapons must be stored safely and kept out of the reach of children.
