Dispute over prasad; temple staff member beaten to death in broad daylight

NEW DELHI: In a shocking incident, a temple staff member was beaten to death following a dispute over prasad. The incident took place yesterday evening at Kalkaji Mandir in Delhi. The victim has been identified as Yogendra Singh, a native of Uttar Pradesh. He had been working at the temple for 15 years. He was brutally attacked with sticks by three men. CCTV footage of the incident has now come out.

The issue began when the accused youths approached Yogendra Singh, asking for prasad after visiting the temple. Soon, an argument broke out between the accused and Yogendra Singh. The argument turned violent and the youths attacked him with sticks. The attackers fled the spot when the locals rushed to the spot.

Yogendra Singh, who sustained serious injuries, was immediately rushed to the hospital. However, his life could not be saved. Locals managed to apprehend one of the attackers, named Atul Pandey (30), a native of Dakshin Puri, and handed him over to the police. Police said the search is still on for the other two who escaped.
