MUMBAI: A SpiceJet flight made an emergency landing after one of its wheels detached shortly after takeoff. The incident occurred on a flight from Kandla Airport in Gujarat to Mumbai.

The aircraft was carrying 75 passengers, all of whom are safe. The detached wheel was one of the rear landing wheels.

Officials at the control centre noticed a black object falling from the aircraft soon after takeoff. Since the plane was already at altitude, they could not identify it immediately. On inspection, it was confirmed that the rear wheel had come off.

The pilot was alerted, and Mumbai Airport was placed on standby. The flight then landed safely without further issues. The airline confirmed that all passengers are safe and no other problems were reported.
