Hits woman with cooker, slits throat, brutal murder in broad daylight

HYDERABAD: A woman was tied, beaten up with a pressure cooker and then slit her throat with a knife. The heinous crime happened in broad daylight in Hyderabad. The dead is Renu Agarwal (50), a resident of Swan Lake Apartment in Cyberabad. The police have launched a search for two domestic helps in the incident. Renu was found murdered on the 13th floor of her flat on Wednesday evening. 40 grams of gold and Rs 1 lakh were found stolen from the flat.

Police said Harsha of Jharkhand, who had come to work in her flat ten days ago, and Roushan, a domestic help in another flat, committed the murder. The CCTV footage of the accused coming to the flat and leaving on the day of the incident has been obtained. Police said that after tying the woman’s legs, the accused hit her on the head with a pressure cooker. Her throat was slit using a knife and scissors. The police said that after committing the crime, the accused took a shower in the bathroom of the flat, changed into different clothes, leaving behind their blood-stained clothes there and fled.

Her husband Agarwal had a steel business. On the day of the incident, he along with his 26-year-old son left for work. Agarwal called his wife at 5 pm but was unanswered. Soon he reached home and found the main door locked from inside. He then entered by opening the balcony door and found his wife dead. They soon informed the police.
