Five-year-old boy killed by leopard in Valparai; locals stage protest

COIMBATORE: In a shocking incident, a five-year-old boy was killed by a leopard in Valparai, Tamil Nadu. The child, Saiful Alam, was the son of tea estate worker Rajbul Ali from Assam. His body was found in the tea plantation of the Iyerpadi Estate Bungalow Division.

The attack happened while the boy was playing in front of his house. A woman living nearby saw the leopard grabbing the child. His mother is Shajitha Begum. The couple has three children. This is the third child to be killed by a leopard in Valparai in the last eight months. Local residents are holding a protest at the spot.
