RAIPUR: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai finally broke the silence over the arrest of two Malayali nuns in the state. CM Rai substantiated the allegations of human trafficking and forced religious conversion for the arrest of the nuns. An investigation is underway into the incident. The chief minister also asked people to refrain from giving political colour to the issue.

The girls, whom the nuns tried to take along with them to Agra, are natives of Bastar. They were being taken to Agra on the promise of nursing training and jobs. The Chief Minister said that the girls were handed over to the nuns by a native of Narayanpur.
