NEW DELHI: Congress MP and Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi responded after the speaker expunged his remarks on Hinduism from the Lok Sabha. Rahul Gandhi said he said nothing more than fact and held firm to his earlier remarks made in the Lok Sabha. The leader of the opposition also blamed the BJP MPs for twisting his remark to make it seem like an insult to Hinduism.

'Truth can be removed from Prime Minister Narendra Modi's world. But it is not possible in the real world. I said what I had to say. That is the truth. They can mislead as much as they want'- Rahul Gandhi responded.

Rahul's reference to violence in the name of Hindus and his remarks against the RSS were expunged from records. Faizabad MP and Samajwadi Party leader Awadhesh Prasad defended Rahul Gandhi's speech saying there was no malice intended. However, he clarified that the Speaker has the right to remove statements, that are not in accordance with the Constitution.

Union Minister Chirag Paswan has demanded the removal of Rahul Gandhi's entire speech saying the reference hurt the majority of the people in the country. Chirag Paswan also rebuked Rahul Gandhi’s attack against PM Modi.
