KOCHI: The Iranian warship IRIS Lavan has docked at Kochi Port. The ship arrived in Kochi on Wednesday and is reported to have 183 sailors on board. The vessel reached Kochi at a time when attacks on Iran by the United States and Israel are intensifying. The Indian Air Force said that the ship has been given shelter. Earlier, another Iranian ship, IRIS Dena, which had left Kochi a few days ago, was attacked and destroyed by a US submarine near the coast of Sri Lanka. According to reports, 87 Iranian sailors were killed in the attack.
Meanwhile, Donald Trump demanded that Iran surrender unconditionally. He shared a warning message to Iran on his social media platform Truth Social. Trump said the United States would not enter into any agreement with Iran unless it surrenders unconditionally. He added that if Iran surrenders, the US would help rebuild the country and make it economically bigger, stronger, and better than before.
At the same time, Israel carried out fresh airstrikes in Tehran on Friday. News agencies reported explosions around Kermanshah, where Iran’s missile production facilities are located.
