Kannada actress Spandana and wife of actor Vijaya Raghavendra dies in Bangkok

BENGALURU: Kannada actress Spandana, wife of actor Vijaya Raghavendra, has died. She was 35. She died following a cardiac arrest in Bangkok. She was on a vacation in Bangkok with her family. She was taken to the hospital soon after she collapsed in the hotel room, but her life could not be saved. Her body will be brought to Bengaluru tomorrow. Knowing her death, many including her father B K Sivaram have left for Bangkok.

Spandana born in a Tulu family started her film career through Ravichandan’s ‘Apoorva’ in 2017. Her husband Vijaya Raghavendra is a recipient of national award for his role in ‘Chinnari Mutha’. Vijaya Raghavendra is a relative of Kannada super star Puneeth Rajkumar. Raghavendra is the judge of Dance Karnataka Dance.

Spandan and Vijaya Raghavendra got married in 2007 after being in a relationship. Her unexpected demise was when the couple was to celebrate their 16th wedding anniversary. The couple has a son named Shourya.
