BENGALURU: The Karnataka government is set to provide additional facilities for MLAs attending the Legislative Assembly session. Speaker UT Khader announced that 15 recliner chairs will be arranged in the Assembly's lounge during the budget session, which begins on March 3.
MLAs who wish to take a break during the session can make use of this new facility. The decision was made as many MLAs tend to skip Assembly proceedings after lunch and return to their hostels. The recliner chairs are being rented and will be returned after the session. Additionally, tea and coffee services will also be arranged for the members.
Several reforms and measures have already been implemented to improve the attendance of legislators. The Karnataka Legislative Assembly session will commence on Monday, March 3, at 11:00 AM.
