NEW DELHI: The CBI will question Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam party president actor Vijay again in connection with the tragedy that occurred during the TVK rally in Karur. The CBI has issued a notice to Vijay to appear for questioning on the 19th of this month.
Vijay had reached the CBI headquarters in Delhi on Monday to give his statement in the case. Ahead of Vijay's questioning, his campaign vehicle was taken into custody by the police the other day. Although Vijay was informed yesterday that he will be questioned again, the actor had clarified that he can appear only after Pongal. This was followed by the CBI issuing a notice to appear on the 19th. Vijay's stance is that neither he nor the party is responsible for the tragedy and that the responsibility lies with the district administration, government and police.
