BENGALURU: A 32-year-old woman was stabbed to death by her husband in front of her daughter at a bus stand. The incident happened at the Sunkadakatte bus stand in Bengaluru. The 35-year-old cab driver identified as Lohitashwa killed his wife Rekha. The couple got married three months ago and this was second marriage for both. He killed her in front of her 12-year-old daughter from her first marriage.
The incident happened Monday morning. Rekha was working at a call centre. The couple got married three months ago after being in a relationship. The couple used to fight frequently and on the day of the incident, there was a heated argument between the two. Rekha along with her daughter left home and went to the bus stand. He followed her and killed her. Rekha, who was stabbed several times in the chest and stomach, died on the spot.
Although those present at the spot tried to stop Lohitashwa, he threatened them with a knife and ran away. The Kamakshipalya police have registered a case and has intensified search for the accused. The police' initial conclusion is that he grew suspicious of her character.
The couple lived in a rented house near Sunkadakatte. Rekha's eldest daughter from her first marriage lived with them and her younger daughter lived with Rekha's parents.
