PARIS: Manu Bhaker, India’s shooting prodigy from Haryana, stormed into the final of women's 10m air pistol category on Saturday. She also became the first player to reach the Olympic final in the women's 10m air pistol category.

She ended up third in the qualification round with 580 points. Manu will look to repay for her sombre performance in the Tokyo Olympics, where she stumbled in all three events. The final for the women's 10m air pistol in the Paris Olympics is scheduled for Sunday at 3:30 pm (IST).

Meanwhile, India failed to enter the final round in the 10m air rifle mixed event. Sandeep Singh - Elavenil Valarivan and Arjun Babuta - Ramita Jindal contested for India. Both teams failed to advance from the qualifying round.

Sandeep Singh - Elavenil Valarivan finished in the 12th position while Arjun Babuta - Ramita Jindal ended in the 6th position and were kicked out of the tournament. India's Balraj Panwar finished fourth in the rowing men's singles sculls heats and advanced to the repechage round.
