AHMEDABAD: New footage has emerged from the B.J. Government Medical College in Ahmedabad, capturing the tense moments after a plane crashed into the building and erupted in flames. The video shows students and staff frantically trying to escape, climbing down balconies in a desperate bid to flee the fire.
The 30-second clip reveals the sheer difficulty of evacuating from the upper floors, with people visibly distressed and crying out as they navigate their way down.

Meanwhile, another video released yesterday shows a miraculous escape by passenger Ramesh Vishwaskumar. He is seen walking away from the burning wreckage inside the medical college campus. Onlookers, who had stayed back due to the fire, are seen watching Ramesh in astonishment and then escorting him away.
The bodies of 119 victims of the plane crash have been identified through DNA testing. However, the body of Ranjitha Nair, a Malayali woman who died in the disaster, has not yet been identified. The body of former Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani, who also died in the crash, was cremated yesterday in Rajkot with official honors.
Meanwhile, following the plane crash, the DGCA has ordered inspections of Air India’s 787 series Dreamliner aircraft. The checks are focused on engines, flaps, and landing gear. Of the 22 aircraft inspected so far, no major issues have been found. Air India operates a total of 33 Dreamliners.
