
NEW DELHI: The Election Commission is preparing to implement Special Intensive Revision (SIR) nationwide. The Election Commission has sent letters to more states to start the processes of Special Intensive Revision of voter list. The letter was sent to the election officers of various states, instructing them to make necessary preparations for this.
The Commission has decided to start the project activities in 22 places in various states and union territories by April. The Commission has directed the concerned officials to immediately complete the necessary advance preparations for this. The Commission claims that the new step is part of making the election process more efficient.
