SRINAGAR: Pakistan has violated the ceasefire along the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir and resorted to heavy shelling. The heavy shelling is in the Poonch district. 12 Indians lost their lives here. 57 people were injured across Kashmir. Of these, 42 are in Poonch. Many of them are in critical condition. Among the dead are four children, including siblings.

India gave a strong response to Pakistan for the Pahalgam attack on Wednesday morning. The ceasefire violation by Pakistan is in response to the defence named Operation Sindoor. Meanwhile, India has made it clear that it will not hesitate to attack Pakistan's military installations if it attacks again. India made this known by calling foreign representatives.

India responded strongly to the attack in Poonch. It is reported that there were casualties and other casualties on the Pakistani side as well. In addition to Poonch, shelling was also carried out in Mendhar, Mankote, Balakote, Krishna Ghati, Sagra, and Shahpur Kirni. 10 people, including five children, were injured in the shelling in Rajouri. This is the 13th consecutive day that Pakistan has violated the ceasefire here.

The Pakistani government had earlier announced that it would retaliate for India's Operation Sindoor, which targeted nine targets in Pakistan. However, India has warned that the subsequent retaliation will be severe if it attacks India.
