JAIPUR: An Indian Air Force’ Jaguar fighter jet crashed at Churu in Rajasthan. The incident happened in Bhanoda village around 1:30 pm today. Human remains were found near the crash site. Reports say the pilot of the aircraft has died in the accident. It is also reported that two local civilians were seriously injured. The aircraft took off from Suratgarh Air Force Base in Rajasthan when it crashed.
India has 120 Jaguar fighter jets in six squadrons. This is the third Jaguar fighter jet crash this year. The first accident occurred in Panchkula, Haryana on March 7. A fighter jet also crashed in Jamnagar, Gujarat on April 2.
The Jaguar is a twin-engine fighter-bomber available in single and double-seat variants. Although they are considered vintage aircraft, these are aircrafts widely used by the Air Force.
