POCSO case against Women and Child Development official for abusing minor

NEW DELHI: A POCSO case has been filed against an official of the Delhi Women and Child Development Department for allegedly raping a 16-year-old girl. A case was also filed against his wife. After her father's death, the girl stayed with the officer who was his father's friend. According to the police, he raped her for months and impregnated her with a child.

The girl is a class 12th student. The officer raped her several times between 2020 and 21. The officer and his wife gave her abortion pills. She became weak and the details regarding the abuse came out after the girl was taken home by her mother. After seeing a doctor, they filed the case.

The girl's father died in 2020. The accused brought he child home on the pretext of protecting her. Being her husband's friend, the mother agreed to this.
