BENGALURU: A circular was issued to unit officers demanding that leave be granted to police officers to celebrate their birthdays and wedding anniversaries. The circular was issued by the Karnataka DGP. The circular states that taking time to celebrate personal times with family is crucial to reducing mental stress and increasing productivity.

“Taking these special days off can help officers and employees recharge emotionally. It helps them spend quality time with their families and maintain a balance between work and personal life. It also boosts morale, reduces stress, and increases job satisfaction and productivity.

In this context, all unit officers were instructed to grant leave to police officers and employees who request leave for birthdays and wedding anniversaries. This humanitarian act not only acknowledges the sacrifices of the officers but also builds loyalty and strengthens the commitment of the police force," the circular said.
